Blair County native Mart Marasco is bringing his mobile ordering tech firm OrderEats to Altoona/Blair County. “We are ready to grow in a big way to support mom and pop restaurants and their customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region,” Marasco said.
OrderEats was launched in March of 2020 in Albany, GA and quickly expanded into other Georgia cities including Valdosta, Columbus, and Athens. OrderEats is the first mobile ordering app that allows smaller independent restaurants to introduce mobile ordering to their customer base at no cost. Those include curb side, pick-up, drive-thru, dine-in and delivery.
The firm will initially establish operations in the Devorris Center for Business Development and then plans to expand into the new Mill Building in the coming months. “Our goal is that we will see growth levels allowing us to add team members to include management, tech development talent, and drivers,” Marasco said. “Blair County is the perfect market to grow our app with its many independently-owned family restaurants, mountain environment and new office spaces which will help us attract talent.”
Unlike other delivery apps with revenue models based on increased menu prices or adding fees, OrderEats charges no commissions allowing the restaurant to maintain original menu pricing.
