The Altoona-Blair County Development Corp. (ABCD Corp.) is pleased to announce the date of the 2013 annual meeting as Friday, May 3, 2013. The event will take place at the Blair County Convention Center located in Altoona, PA with breakfast beginning at 7:30 am and the program at 8 am.
The keynote speaker for the event will be made by UPMC and the topic is “What a UPMC Partnership Could Mean for the Region.” With discussions continuing on an affiliation between Altoona Regional Health System and UPMC, this topic and timing are a perfect fit.
In addition to the keynote presentation, the event will also include networking opportunities, presentation of awards and the 2012 annual report. Among the awards given out at the meeting will be the McMaster Award acknowledging a finance partner and the Alexander A. Notopoulos Award presented to an outstanding business in Blair County.
